We confirm your order
We send you an email saying we've received your order and tell you when we are expecting to have it ready.
We tell you when your order is ready
We will email you when your order is ready so you know when you can come and pick it up. Orders are usually ready after noon.
You pick up your order
You come down to our store to pick up your order.
Frequently Asked Questions
1) I placed my order on Monday after 3PM, when can I expect my order to be ready?
Orders placed after 3PM will be ready the second business day from the date of your order. In this case it would be ready on Wednesday.
2) I placed my order on Friday after 3PM, when can I expect my order to be ready?
Orders placed after 3PM will be ready the second business day from the date of your order. In this case it would be ready the following Tuesday.
3) I placed my order on a weekend, when will my order be ready?
Orders placed on a weekend before 3PM on Monday will be ready for pickup on the following Tuesday.
4) I placed my order on a long weekend, when will my order be ready?
The bakery is generally closed on the Tuesday following a long weekend. Orders placed before 3PM on Tuesday would be ready on Wednesday.
5) Can I specify which day I would like to pick up the order?
Yes! Just let us know in the notes when you are checking out. Just be sure that it is a day we are open and it is farther away than a standard order would be.
6) I don't see what I want to order online. How can I make an order?
We still take phone orders. If you have an order which is a bit complicated or you'd like some items not on the online store just give us a call at 250-615-0419.
7) Why do orders need to be in before 3PM?
We bake all of your orders from scratch and we start preparing the ingredients and supplies at 3PM the day before.
WHOLE WHEAT - Made with freshly milled whole grain flour
MULTIGRAIN - The delicious combination of wholewheat with barley, oats, rye, and cornmeal
SPELT - A wheat-free loaf made with 100% organic spelt flour, naturally lower in gluten
FLAX - The goodness of ground flax with whole flax seeds throughout
HARVEST - A wholesome wholewheat loaf with cornmeal, millet and sunflower seeds
RAISIN - A wholewheat loaf with juicy raisins and currants, spiced with (a hint of) nutmeg and cinnamon
BLACKCURRANT MILLET - Blackcurrants with the crunch of millet in a wholewheat loaf spiced with a hint of nutmeg and cinnamon
SEED - A hearty loaf with the crunch of poppy, sesame, sunflower, millet, pumpkin and flax seeds
WHITE - A classic favourite
RYE - Stoneground rye flour in a hearty loaf
DOUBLEWHEAT - An extra hearty loaf with even more wholegrain flour

Baker Extraordinaire bakes everything fresh daily.
Bread: The bread is made with no fat, no sugar, no dairy and no preservatives using stoneground flour, milled on location just before use from certified organic grain from the Canadian Prairies. These whole grain breads contain 60% Organic whole wheat flour plus 40% white unbleached flour resulting in healthy bread that tastes great.
Note that bread kept longer than three days can be frozen to ensure continued freshness as our bread contains no preservatives.
Fruit Pies: We make delicious Fruit Pies every day. We peel Granny Smith and Golden Delicious apples for the Apple Pies and use frozen fruit for the Cherry, Blueberry, Peach, Blackberry, Strawberry Rhubarb and Mixed Berry Pies. We also make Pumpkin and Raisin Pies.
Cream Pies: We also make Banana Cream, Coconut Cream and Chocolate Cream Pie on a daily basis. In addition, we make Lemon Meringue, Cherry Chocolate and Lemon Chiffon Pies.
